A capable camera
A good webcam, mirrorless camera as webcam, or a recent phone camera. Resolution follows the hardware — no artificial cap.
A big screen on the receiving side
High-end TV or monitor. Cast or mirror from the device running the browser; there is no Smart TV store app today.
Clean light and quiet audio
Soft, even lighting and a wired mic or quality headset matter more than resolution alone.
Will this actually work for us?
Do I need a 4K camera?
No. 4K Chat sends whatever your camera and network can sustain. A great 1080p feed on a big screen beats a compressed 4K tile every time.
Can the other person join without installing anything?
Yes. They open the /r link in a browser, pick a display name, and wait for you to admit them.
Will this work on a TV?
The receiving side can cast or mirror from a phone or PC. There is no Smart TV store app today, so the browser is the path.
Is the call recorded in the cloud?
No. Media flows directly between browsers. If anyone records, it is a local recording on their own device.

Free rooms support up to 4. Pro supports up to 12 if you need observers or extra camera angles.
Can I use a phone as the camera?
Yes. Start the call on the phone, then cast or mirror its screen to the TV for the receiving side.
