    How it works

You’re sending. You’re in the room.

Most video calls trap everyone in a grid of tiny tiles. 4K Chat is built around two human jobs: you send from the camera side, and you’re in the room — life-size on a screen that can actually show the detail.

    You’re sending

    From the camera side

    1

Start from your phone or PC

The device with the camera is the sender. Open Start a Call and pick a display name — no account needed.

    2

    Share the code

Your room gets a short code and an invite link. Send either one to the people who need to be in the room.

    3

    Admit from the waiting room

Waiting room is on by default. Guests wait until you admit them, so you control who enters.

    You’re in the room

    On the big screen

    1

Get yourself on a big screen

Mirror or cast from your phone or PC to a high-end TV. The browser stays the path; there is no Smart TV store app today.

    2

    See the detail

A direct peer-to-peer feed means the picture is only limited by the camera, network, and screen — not by an artificial cap.

    3

    Add an extra angle

A USB camera or capture card on the same machine can join as its own tile when the host allows it.

    The short architecture note

Video and audio flow directly between browsers. There is no media server decoding or forwarding your stream, which is why the quality can be high — and why the call stays private. Free rooms are capped at 4 participants in a small full mesh. Resolution follows your hardware and network; there is no artificial cap, and no warranty either.
