A phone is often the camera already beside the fault. Open the room in its browser, clean the lens, select the rear camera when practical, and make the part fill the frame. Native apps are in development; the browser is the path today.
Light the part before moving closer
- Use a small soft work light from the side so scratches and edges show without a hard reflection.
- Brace the phone or use a compact mount. Let autofocus settle before the expert reads a label or surface.
- Move slowly between overview and close-up. Pause on each requested angle instead of sweeping continuously.
- Keep hands and the device clear of moving machinery and follow the site's safety procedure.
Give the expert context and detail
Begin wide enough to identify the assembly, then move to the connector, display, wear pattern, or stamped part number. Say what the expert is seeing and ask them to direct the next angle. Resolution follows the phone, browser, uplink, and expert's device and network; 4K is not guaranteed.
